| What Tests/Labs to order Jan 25, 2009 I live in a remote place (Canadian NWT) My HIV dr. only ordered TCell work once yr and a viral load test every 2 yrs.... now I have new dr, but i have to put in request 2 mos ahead of visit to faraway clinic... so are there standard tests i should be asking for ?..... I know about PSA test and they OKd that already, but it seems I have to specifically ask for anything... HIV undetectable last test; cleared HCV last year and will get another HCV viral load Heptimax test ... 52 yr old m, 4 yrs post NHL chemotherapy in remission. I mean just ordinary tests too, not just HIV-related tests// Thank you Doctor, for all the kind help you give us! |

The usual battery of tests includes a CBC (blood count), liver function panel, some routine blood chemistry tests like a fasting blood glucose and kidney function tests (BUN, creatinine), and fasting lipid panel. | |||||||||
