| Syphilis positive for 10 years Dec 28, 2008 For the past 10 years I have had a positive Syphilis test but the first doctor that did it told me that I didn't have Syphilis. Years later it came up again when I was pregnant. This time a new DR. said it was normal for women to sometimes have the test come back positive with a low ratio. Now, I have another Dr. and he wants to treat me for Syphilis...What could be going on? |

It depends on which of several tests that can be done for syphilis is positive. A decision to treat is dependent on the clinical context of the case. | |||||||||
