what are my test numbers
Nov 30, 2008

My husband is having a hard time getting the clinic to write down the his viral loads and t cell count so that he will know how he is doing. It has been a month and we have talked to everyone from nurse to social worker to operations dir. It is terrible. Do you have any advise for a wife trying to get information. He has no confidence in the clinis and has stopped his meds all of them

Response from Dr. Holodniy

He has a right to have a copy of his medical records. You need to make sure you have durable power of attorney for medical care. That allows you to have access to his records and to make decisions on his behalf. If they still refuse, change clinics or doctors if you can, or if you can't, get an attorney involved.
