Nov 30, 2008
I am a healthy 27-year old asian male. I started flu-like symptoms on Oct 20 2008. On 10/29 my EIA was positive and WB was indeterm (gp160 weak, rest was neg). Viral load count on 11/13 was 279,000/ml. My WB on 11/18 was indeterm (strong pos: p24, weak: p18 & p40; +/-: gp160& p51/55 ; rest neg) VL was 74,000, CD4 :955. My doc put me on Atripla, once a day. Is this the optimal treatment? I'm pos for hepB antibod, neg for antigen and diagnosed with chlymedia on 11/13, already treated by antibiotic. Please please help. Also pls recommend some expert in minnesota. thanks

I don't recommend specific practitioners for HIV treatment. That particular combination of HIV meds is certainly appropriate to treat HIV infection.
