I initially found out i had syphilis in conjunction with my hiv... probably had syphilis for awhile.. i went through the "three rounds" of shots but now i'm experiencing burning sensations in my back, stiffness of neck, burning sensations in my eyes..... do you think possibly neurosyphilis is occurring.. also numbness in left arm... burning in both legs periodically... blood pressure is fine and so is C4 count..

Response from Dr. Holodniy

It is unlikely to be neurosyphilis, particularly if these symptoms have occurred after treatment for latent syphilis. You don't indicate whether you are taking any medications or have any other active medical problems. Probably worth checking it out with your doctor.
