CD4 drop since begininng AtriplaAug 31, 2008 I began taking Atripla in February 2008 when my CD4 count was 328. My first blood test results, in April '08 , were CD4 605/44%, VL 174; May '08 results were CD4 400/33%, VL undetectable; August results were CD4 323/32%; VL undetectable. Could I already be developing a resistance to Atripla at this stage? Should I be changing treatment? |

![]() | Response from Dr. HolodniyI would not be concerned. There is no evidence of regimen failure or resistance. A detectable and rising viral load would have confirmed that. Your CD4 percent is in the normal range and absolute CD4 counts tend to vary, so I am not concerned. | ||||||||
