| Benefit of being undetectable Jul 13, 2008 I know the goal is to become undetectable and I recently have become undetectable after taking my meds since April 08. I just not really sure what is the benefits of being undetectable? Does this help decrease the potential of infecting people who are not HIV +? |

The primary benefit is to restore and/or preserve your immune system from destruction by HIV. And yes, an important public health benefit of HIV treatment is reducing the risk of transmission to other people. | ||||||||||
