| test result Jul 13, 2008 My father tested positive for HIV-1. Is unemployes & has not= medical insurance, whete do i get help for him. he is to depress and not very educated. His test shows lymphocytes at 23.9/white c 4.9 /red c 3.90/ hemoglobin 11.5/ hematocrit 33.3/eosinophils 7.7. what does it mean? |

This blood test result indicates some anemia. Other important blood tests to get are the CD4 count ( a measure of how much the immune system has been affected) and the HIV viral load (a measure of how much the virus is replicating). These two tests will also help determine if he needs HIV treatment at this point. You don't indicate where you are from, but assuming within the US, you need to start with looking for some county or state HIV sponsored clinics for help. | |||||||||
