Jun 15, 2008

im not taking any medication for my hiv but wen i go for my regular check ups i have found i had a 59,000 viral load count and then 3 months later i had 29,000,one month later i had 6,000 but i am not on medications how is this possible? what is fighting off the virus or what can i do to find out what exactly is happening and all this is happening while i have gall stones which need to be surgically removied and a fatty liver im confuesed...

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Although you don't indicate what your CD4 count or percentages were doing during this time, or whether you had any ongoing infections or immunizations, I suspect that these fluctuations are the result of assay variability and that likely the next result will be up slightly.
