Huge VLoad Apr 12, 2008 I have read several questions where people discuss their CD4 count and viral load but never came across anyone who had a viral load over 750,000. My CD4s are at 219 but my viral load was almost 6,000,000! What makes mine so high in comparison and does that mean I am in worse shape? Thanks for your responce in advance... |

 In many cases the HIV viral load is below 750K. However, previous versions of viral load assays did not routinely quantitate the viral load above that number. Now some are. So we will probably see more people with numbers over 1 million. That said, it is unusual unless one is in the acute infection period to see the number be that high. Given where your CD4 count is you need to start treatment. | ||||||||
