Feel like I am falling apart.
Mar 29, 2008

Hello, I was diagnosed in Aug 06 tested negative in Aug 05. I found out that my boyfriend cheated on me while I was pregnant. I am not on meds my VL has been undectable, my CD count was 820, now 750, my % was not found the first time due to lab error and now is 30%. I have three concerns my skin on my feet are peeling, and the skin in between my breasts are peeling. I have noticable twitches ( had them for a while but are now becoming more noticable and frequent). I had my daughter tested at 11 months she tested negative, will she remain negative? Please help me.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

I can't speak to the skin conditions, as your description is quite nonspecific and could be a variety of different things. It is important to know what test was done on your daughter's blood. But either way, the fact that the test is negative at one year most likely indicates that she is NOT HIV infected.
