why would my cd4 go up to 504 from 300 from taking a drug holiday?

It would usually not work that way. It would be important to know what the CD4% did. It is likely that the CD4% did not increase significantly during the interruption, although your total white blood cell count (WBC) or lymphocyte count could have to account for the increase in CD4 count.
