Estimated time until I need medication Jan 26, 2008 I am 7 months post infection. My lab results are now VL:2,000 CD4 805, 37%. My VL during the acute phase was estimated to be over 1 million, I felt terrible. My doctor does not want to start me on HAART yet. Do lab results fall at a predictable rate? Is there any way I can estimate the time I have until I will need medication or is everyone different? Thank you. |

 it is unlikely in the near future that you will need HIV meds and I agree with your doctor. Your immune system is doing a great job on its own controlling the infection. | ||||||||
