How will I know when I need meds?

Sep 29, 2007

My cd4 count keeps going up and down what does that mean? At first 974,then 760, then 554, now 650, whats going on?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Absoulte CD4 counts can have a natural variation depending on the time of day, other ongoing infections, immunizations, among other reasons. A more stable number over time is the CD4%. I suspect that your CD4% is the same for those 3 tests.
