Hepatitis B Borderline
Jun 16, 2007

My first bloodtest said I was Hepatitis B borderline then after repeat analysis they were positive. My ALT was 44. What is going on? I was vaccinated for HepA and B as a teenager and noboby else in my family has it. Could this be a mistake. The blood test was done at random by my new Dr. so I was'nt expecting this. What could have caused the "borderline" result. By the way I recently ordered a new blood test with a different Dr. so I gotta wait and see what happens.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

You don't indicate what the test was. The HBV test performed could actually indicate immunity.
