|Interpreting HCV RNA results

My first viral load test shows "4560". Then during Pegasys/Copegus tx, it dropped to "<25". Online, I keep reading about viral loads in the hundred thousands or millions. How do I translate "4560" or "<25" to a number I can understand?

There should be units attached to that value, like IU (for international units) or copy number per milliliter. I assume that is an absolute copy number, but it could be truncated and reflect a higher number. You need to ask your doctor or get a copy of the lab report and look at the units.
