Hepatitis C
Nov 18, 2006

I was told i had traces of Hepatitis C from a blood test about 10 years ago. I recently had another blood test done, and i was told my Hep c count was 714,000...is that bad? And is there anything i can do to lower it?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

That result indicates you have chronic HCV infection with a relatively low viral load. You need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist to determine if you have evidence of any liver damage.
