Hep C treatment ?

Oct 4, 2006

Thank u so much for your quick response. I just switched jobs and I'm not insured. I assume I need treatment. You said my vl is low but it is acute. Will my hep c continue to get worse at this point w/o meds ? Also I have 3 children.1 tested pos,who recently got his ear pierced by a friend, and the other tested neg. They are 16 & 18. I feel terrible about this. Did I give this to my son? He hasn't lived with me in 10 years and his father(my ex) has it too. But new husband does not. I'm very confused. Should I have my 6 year old by my present husband tested?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

You need to be evaluated by a specialist who knows about HCV disease in order to answer the question about treatment. Transmission among close contacts is possible and the family should be tested.

Kaletra & Truvada & Sulfamethazole
Totally confused
