viral load

Aug 21, 2006

my viral load was 50 3 month,s ago now it is up to 100 tell me at what number is cause for concern. Tell me what site gives me that information on numbers low and high thank you

Response from Dr. Holodniy

You don't indicate whether your are currently receiving HIV treatment and what your CD4 count is. In most people with your viral load numbers, this would be considered a blip in the test and most likely the result of assay variability and therefore nothing to worry about. Usually we get more concerned if the viral load was < 50 and is now > 500-1000 on at least 2 consecutive tests.

How long must I wait!!
t- cell or viral load count
