new drugs and resistance
Jul 29, 2006

I had a phenotype test done june 18th. this was prio to prezista approval by fda. Would that drug be included in my test? If no, at what point in time are the new drugs added to the test?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Depends on the phenotype test. In general the testing companies are working with the pharma companies as the drugs are being developed to rapidly insert the newly approved drugs into the resistance panel upon approval of a given drug. So, it may not have been done, but you could confirm that by getting a copy of your test result.
