| Re- HIV & Corticosteroids Jul 16, 2006 I did not do Western blot test because No lab for that I am in saudi Arabia . In case I am really infected what is the treatment of CD4 540 RATIO 0.69 AND VL 11000 , Incase I do not need treatment Is the corticosteroide will damage my immune system very fast and is there any medicine can increase my CD4 and decrease VL 11000 inspite of the corticosteroide i am getting everyday for ever .Pleeeeeese advise NOTE : Is there need for PCR DNA test for confirmity or the PCR RNA I did it is the same . |

No need for a DNA test. Given your CD4 count being in the normal range and a relatively low HIV viral load, you don't need HIV treatment at this point. Steroids will affect the immune system. You need to consult with someone who can manage your steroids and HIV. | |||
