Scared of new lab results, please advise
Jun 18, 2006

Hello Dr. Mark, Ok, here's my info: Diagnosed Aug. 2004, tcell 119, vl 36k, 14%. Since then, I went undectable 14 months ago, but the other #'s scare me. For example, December 2005, 280 tcells, 18% & undect, March 2006 tcells 309, 18%, undect. Now, June 2006, 250 tcells, 24% & undectable. I was crying in my doctors office, but, he & my nurse, told me that I am right where I should be & not to get myself so upset. My doctor told me it take a very long time for my numbers to "somewhat"return. I asked if I would ever get to 400 tcells, his reply was " maybe" & that he really focuses on the % and my undectable status , not so much the cd4 count. Please share you expertise with me. Thank you in advance.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

I agree with your doctor and nurse. Your numbers and response to treatment are great.
