| VERY confused about diagnosis Dec 24, 2005 Recently my long-term boyfriend had these lab results: -HbsAg + -Anti-Hbc + (without specifying whether they were total, IgM or IgG) -Confirmation Anti-Hbc + -Anti-Hbe + -all aminotransferases at normal values His doctor diagnosed him as being a healthful carrier, with no risk to spread the virus, not even to me. The thing is that I found the doc's diagnosis and the antigens/antibodies results very confusing when I compared them with the information I found in the internet. So I still don't know which is the exact condition of my boyfriend, a)whether he is contagious or not, b)whether he is a chronic case or not Please, help me! |

A HBV viral load test will confirm the diagnosis. | |||||||||
