| cd4 decline Nov 4, 2005 Hello, i was diagnosed last august, and i have a question. Well, my viral load has been below 50 for a year, ever since i went on meds. However, my t-cells mysteriously dropped from 600 to 400 between june and october. i was told that all my other blood work came back normal. I guess my question is, why did this happen? is it related to stress, or what ? am i nuts? thanks for answering. |

Response from Dr. Holodniy
Well, your not nuts. Another important number to know and follow is the CD4 percentage. The absolute count tends to fluctuate more than the percentage which is usually more stable over time. I suspect with an undetectable viral load, your CD4 percentage has not declined during this time frame. | |||||||||
