|HBsAB (+), HBeAB(+), HBV DNA (+)
Nov 4, 2005
The following is the lab test result as of October 2005: ====================================== ALT (19) AST (19) HBeAG (-) HBeAB (+) HBsAG (-) HBsAB (+) HBV DNA (5,931 copies / ml) =================================== I have taken Zeffix (Lamivudine) since October, 2003 and stopped taking it in February 2005. At that time, the lab report says: ========================= ALT (34) AST (30) HBeAG (-) HBeAB (+) HBsAG (+) HBsAB (-) HBV DNA (<2,000 ml/copies) ===============================
According to the current test result, everything is normal except HBV DNA. I can say that I am fully recovered from HB. However, HBV DNA is 5,931 copies/ml. How should I interpret this ?

Although not familiar with what exact test was performed for HBV DNA, the result indicates a very low level of HBV in the blood, chronic infection and possibly with a lamivudine resistant strain. You need to have this reevaluated by the gastroenterologist who was treating you for this.
