Hep C viral load
Aug 28, 2005

My huby's virol load is 5oooooo.What does this meen?

Where does this put him , in the progretion of of his viros?

He's been turned down for treetment .What can we do???

Thankyou for your time.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Numerous factors go into a decision about treatment. A viral load of 5 million by itself is not sufficient to base a treatment decision. One would have to look at how much damage the liver has sustained by other lab tests or liver biopsy, other active medical and mental health issues, active substance abuse problems, other meds to name a few issues.
