Very Interesting Thought Jun 18, 2005 I have read that we may soon have a CCR5 and CRCX4 Inhibitor. I have also heard that they may be able to be used together. If this is doen would this perhaps be a defacto cure for HIV? I mean if the CCR5 and CRCX4 are the only two ways the virus can enter the cells and those two are succesfully blocked does that not rule out further infection of new cells? I have also heard that the virus would find it much much more difficult to mutate enough to get around both of these drugs new drugs compared to the drugs we currently have available? Do agree or am I being way to optimistic? |
