HIV/cardiolipin antibodies etc.

Mar 15, 2004

Dear Doctor Holodniy:

Can you please advise on two sets of Q's?

a. do many HIV positive folk test positive for cardiolipin and ANA antibodies and/or have a high Sed Rate during the "quiet" period (after acute infection and before onset of AIDS)? Any statistics/percentages on these?

b. At what stage of HIV infection do the majority of patients develop abnormally high globulin and do early and late stage (untreated) HIV patients have below normal globulin?

Many thanks.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

a. Not rigorously studied. b. Can be seen in early and late disease.

hep c positive
