Undetectable to 89

Feb 22, 2004

Dr. Holodniy,

If someone goes from undetectable to say an 89 count in viral load is it just a blip? I have a good t cell percentage at 45 and the T cell count is now 495 after 5 months of treatment.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

We would consider such a difference a blip, and probably of no clinical significance. The trend over time is what is important.

Blood Collection Time
beyond 700'000 viral load
