| meaning of eosinophil number Nov 9, 2003 what is the meaning of the eosinophil number? My nuber keeps declining with blood test each month. It started at 100 then down to 90 and now down to 78. Is this number important? What would cause the decrease? My viral load went from 2 million down to 300 and cd4 from 98 up to 330 after 3 months of haart. |

This decrease is probably of no clinical significance. Eosinophils are normal white blood cells, that can be elevated during allergic reactions and some kinds of infections and tumors. Your count is in the normal range. | |||||||||
