what are some reasons for elevated liver enzymes? Aug 24, 2003 I have recently tested pos for hiv. Not on meds yet--have high vland 350 tcells. I tested neg for all hep on several tests. I received the hep vaccines 2 years ago. I used to drink a lot --back in pre 1985. I have taken drugs for anxiety and depression for over 10 years. Also take propecia. Dr has told me I have elevated liver enzymes. I am worried. What are some of the possible causes of elevated liver enzymes that you ? |

 It's hard to comment on this without seeing some of the data. For instance, which tests are elevated, how high, and are they significantly elevated. Elevations could be the result of acute HIV infection, medications, other diseases or infections, primary liver or gall bladder problems, among others. | ||||||||
