Liver Function Test
Mar 30, 2003

i had Liver function test to check wheather my liver is infected or not, cause last year, i was told that i have hepatitis C in my blood but it is not active. when the test result comes out this time, everything under "Hepatic Function Panel": Albumin, Glogulin, Calculated, A/G Ratio, ect are normal. BUT there is a section underneather this, is "HB S AG W/Reflex Conf", it has the following: HB S AG---Negative HB S AB---Reactive HB Core AB (IGM)--Postive HB E AB---Positive HCV AB---1.6 H (ratio 0.0-1.0) now, what does this section "HB S AB, QL"tell me? what does the results mean? Do i have Hepatitis B in my blood and it is infecting my liver? or does my liver has the infection already?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Looks like past infection and now immunity to hepatitis b virus.
