|Latest Labs and Disease Progression
Oct 11, 2002
Hi Doctor, I have had numerous labs done since I have found out my positive status a year ago. My CD4's fluctuate between 550 and 740 with my latest reading in Sept at 660. I am not on any meds at this time. My VL has been 500 copies by bDNA and 909 by PCR. My latest VL reading came back "undetectable" by PCR. I was pretty happy about that. My CD4 percentages have been between between 24-22 but my CD8's have been increasing as well, currently at 1500. In respect to disease progression do you think there is a possibility I could be a non progressor or at least in very very slow progression? Thank you so much!

Time is the critical element for determination of progression of disease. Given your current numbers early in infection, things look promising. But several more points over time will be required to look at the trend.
