Question on lab result.
Aug 19, 2002

Could you please be kind and decipher this test result taken a couple of weeks ago. It was done abroad. We could only understand the VL and CD4 counts..we have no clue about the rest of the data.

She is currently under medication. The doctor prescribed 300mg Zidovudine and 150 mg Lamivudine combined in one pill taken twice daily.

Thank you very much!!! We will wait patiently for the answer.

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Total White blood cell count (WBC) = 5,900 (normal) with: 37% lymphocytes of which 69% or 1,572 are T lymphocytes, Of the T lymphocytes, 11% or 251 are CD4 cells. This would be the relevant info.
