Help Again!
Mar 20, 2002

Dr. Little,

You recently answered my question concerning isolation of HIV in fresh (uncultured)plasma by stating the process is done routinely. Thank you.

If the process is done routinely, could you tell me where it has been documented? I am most interested.

Thank you.

Response from Dr. Little

I would ask your local doctor for sites near you. Alternatively, it is done at most hospitals, reference laboratories, and research centers. I do not know where you live - so it is difficult to advise. It is literally so common that almost any hospital in your area that you call may do it or refer you to the local lab that provides this service.
