| Window period and subtypes Mar 17, 2002 Dear Dr, I have read that current Elisas have trouble identifying window period infections for non-b subtypes. In addition i have read that the current antibody tests are configured to be more sensitive to the HIV-1 B clade. Now my question is, would the window period be any different(longer) for the non-b HIV-1 subtypes? Thanks. |
