T-20 Whats up with the lumps?
Mar 10, 2002

Hi Dr.Holodniy, I work with Clinical Drug trials for a HIV clinic in S.C. I recently started a drug called T-20. I have had incredible results with this drug more than any others I've tried. My question is this, Every time I give myself an injection I get this hard lump at the injection sight it does go away after a couple of hours but with 2 injections aday there always seems to be a lump somewhere. Ive tried heat and cold pacs neither seem to help. Got any suggestions?

Response from Dr. Holodniy

Local skin reactions have been reported with T-20. This could be due to the compound itself or to the vehicle it is mixed with. Although it sounds like you are not having a true reaction to the compound. There will be a little lump at the site just because of the amount of fluid being injected. I am not sure if there is anything specifically you can do for these temporary swellings. MH
