| Liver counts high ALT59 and AST 43 Feb 24, 2002 What kind of problems should I look for with my Liver counts high. (ALT 59 and AST 43). I don't drink or smoke and I am 34 years old. I have had my galbladder removed 3 years ago. |

Those numbers are minimally above the normal range. They are probably worth repeating at some point and will probably be back in the normal range. If they persist, it could be due to hepatitis viruses, alcohol ingestion, medications, or a variety of different diseases. | |||||||||
