| Sed Rates of 9 and above Feb 3, 2002 Hi, Dr. Mark, I know that very low sed rates--- 0 or 1 -- indicate unlikely hiv infection. When sed rates are up to 9/10 does this make it more difficult to say "unlikely hiv infection."? |

That number is still in the normal range. The sed rate test is very nonspecific and should never be used in determining and HIV diagnosis. | |||||||||
