Viral load testing in relation to Hepatitis C
Oct 13, 2000

My husband had the viral load testing as well as the regular HIV. HIV was negative, but the viral load was in the "thousands" the Dr. said. He has chronic/active hepatitis C for 14 yrs. Thanks

Response from Dr. Holodniy

I assume from your statements that your husband is HIV negative, but infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV). In addition to HIV viral load, we can also measure HCV viral load in the blood.
