		Are there such tests? May 11, 2008 Can you please advise me as to whether or not there are tests that can determine the time of HIV infection. I recently tested positive with a partner and a child that remain negative. I have been with that one partner for the entire duration of our 8 year relationship but he has doubts as to this given his and our childs' status - given that she is 6 years old. In trying to re-order and reconstruct our lives around this reality I think we both need to know when. I guess from there we can try to figure out how. Please help.


		Response from Dr. Holodniy No there is no specific test for this. Only prior negative tests would be helpful in this case.
