Low viral load & lower CD4 (does this exclude recent exposure)

I had a recent blood to blood exchange during an attach. I have no other exposures of any kind. I was tested at just over 4 months. My CD4 is 464 and my viral load is 4400. I have a high response to all bands (P2(?)) on the Western Blot. I am told that I have probably had this disease for a longer (more chronic) time and my current data/response excludes recent exposure as described. Is this possible?

It is possible to have had the HIV infection for a longer time, although you are unlikely to know for sure based on these numbers. Given the positive HIV western blot and HIV viral load of 4400 HIV infection is clearly present. That is a low viral load and your CD4 count is close to the normal range of 500-1500.
