| peripheral neuropathy Dec 22, 2001 does peripheral neuropathy first present itself early or late in the course of infection? also is it constant or does it come and go? any advice will be appreciated. thank you |

Peripheral neuropathy generally occurs in advanced HIV disease, and is chronic (doesn't come and go). The symptoms may be more or less intense at any given moment, but they never entirely disappear. |
