risk factor for HSV other than sexual exposure
Aug 25, 2001

Response from Dr. Feinberg

Herpes simplex infection can be transmitted by nonsexual routes. For example, dentists and dental hygienists can get herpes infection of the finger tip from working ona patient with active oral herpes, and herpes can also be transmitted by kissing.
