| New treatments for PML? Mar 15, 2000 Both vistide and peptide T seem to be of some utility in halting the progression and even driving back the effects of the JC virus in some cases of PML. Is there any reason to think that the two treatments should not be combined? Are there other treatments that can be considered promising? With thanks for any information you can provide. |

Response from Dr. Feinberg
I see no reason why they can't be tried in combination -- they do not have overlapping side effects. Potent combination treatment for HIV has worked in some patients on its own (and T-20 could be a part of such a regimen). |
