KS during seroconversion?
Mar 1, 1999

Is it possible to begin to have KS lesions before seroconversion? I have tested negative at 10 weeks after a possible low risk exposure and yet have just noticed a pinpoint size blue nodule slightly below the skin on my penis. At this stage I am not sure whether to see an infectious disease/specialist or a dermotologist and would appreciate any recommendations...thank you.

Response from Dr. Currier

I think you should see a dermatologist that has HIV experience- there are lots of things that the lesion could be- it would be unusual for it to be KS- but you shoudl get it evaluated.
