|KS OR MOLE?
Feb 11, 2000
I've never been tested but have gone to a skin dr. What is the size of a KS LESION? I keep developing small moles on my forearms (3), When I went to the Dr. he said they are nothing but skin pigmentation. According to him people develop moles all the time....... Help Me.........
Response from Dr. Squires
KS lesions can be any size, but are usually purplish in color, not brown unless you're very dark-skinned. You can indeed develop moles as you get older. If you're that worried, it would be more direct to just go get an HIV test. If you're negative, you can stop agonizing over these moles.
