| exposure to shingles and HIV? Jul 16, 2001 When a person (who is HIV-) is exposed to a Shingles virus in a person who is HIV+ person by touching one of Shingle sores does he get HIV transferred to himself or he would get chickenpox (if he didnt have it before ) ... Thx |

If you've never had chicken pox before, now may be your time. Varicella zoster virus is highly contagious. HIV is not, and would not be present in the shingles lesions. |
