Nitroimidazoles and lyme
Aug 16, 2000

Dear Dr. Feinberg,

Do you have any leads on nitroimidazoles and lyme disease?

I have "lit." on what I could find on web; but do you have any leads to scientific and medical journals.

Do you know of anyone in New Jersey who would prescribe Tinidazole? Please give them my Ph#:. Past ABX worked but still symptomatic. Desperate!

Hx: Dx. = Lyme since 6/98. Bitten again, before Mem. Day, 2000 while recovering from first bite.

Response from Dr. Feinberg

I'm sorry, but I'm not knowledgeable about nitroimidazoles and Lyme disease. Have you contacted an infectious disease expert in New Jersey? There are excellent specialists at Robert Wood Johnson and UMDNJ medical schools, as well as many in practice at other hospitals and locations.
