		Cervical Lymph Nodes Jul 7, 2001 Dear Doctor Feinberg, It is my understanding that posterior cervical lymph nodes that are swollen are almost always diagnostic of immune supression, is that true? Are the posterior cevical lymph nodes indeed in the back of the neck, or are they located on the side of the neck?


		Response from Dr. Feinberg It is not accurate to say that posterior cervical node swelling is diagnostic of immune deficiency. These nodes are located on the side of the neck, along the posterior edge of the major strap muscles that attach the head and neck to the torso.
